Out of the gate, this album had me longing for Warped Tour and aimless summer drives with my best friends from high school. If CDs were still in vogue, Another Day would nestle nicely next to Yellowcard’s Ocean Avenue.  The nostalgic, early 2000s pop-punk, feel of this album is undeniable. Aside from being an absolute banger, “Five Days” would give any Sum 41 single a run for its money.

These boys know their way around a hook. Combined with absolutely zero fear of gang vocals and woahs, the opportunities for sing-along sessions are boundless. It’s especially prevalent on  some of the highlights of the record, “Alone” & “Counterfeit.” Which doubles as a rocking workout song. #Gains.

Another Day is a Pop-Punk fans happy place. There’s something for every type of listener from Green Day, to Rise Against, to All Time Low. Second Opinion’s ode to Emma Watson, “Hermione,” should give Blink 182 fans quite a thrill as well.

Second Opinion has given us an incredibly enjoyable album, worthy of heavy rotation this summer. Is it ground-breaking? No. Inventive? Also, on. Is it refreshing and incredibly fun? 1,000% yes! Another Day plays like a summer break album, complete with a labor day break-up song in “So Far Away.” Who knew Belgium knew Pop-Punk so well? I can’t help but smile as I write this.
